With nearly three-out-of-ten voters casting early ballots in 2008, candidates are changing strategies and spending money on more ads and outreach earlier, rather than waiting to make a big push for votes just before Election Day. Halloween will scare up some tremendous sales for America’s retailers this year. A new survey by the National Retail Federation says we’ll spend $5.8 billion on the spooky fun, with half of that going for costumes. When it comes to picking America’s best amusement park, the experts just keep getting to “The Point.” Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio is the nation’s best for the 13th year in a row in a poll conducted by the trade publication Amusement Today.
