More than 3,000 passengers aboard the Carnival Splendor off the coast of Mexico are getting an unforgettable cruise - and that’s not a good thing. The ship lost all power after an engine room fire on Monday and then drifted in waters near Baja California. Call it another layoff for the auto industry -- General Motors is letting go Mr. Goodwrench. The character that symbolized dealer service programs for GM since 1974 is being phased out in favor of certified service plans for each of the companies four remaining brands. Mr. Goodwrench was a mechanic and the face of GM service programs in print ads and television commercials. Source Link
