In tonight’s State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress, President Obama is expected to talk about working with GOP leaders to improve the jobs picture and cut the deficit. The bipartisan tone will be reflected in the seating arrangements; unlike previous years, many Republican and Democratic lawmakers will sit together, rather than separated across the aisle by party affiliation. Facing the same pressures that consumers see in their own grocery bills, McDonald’s says it will need to raise some prices this year to cover the increased costs for the food basics that make up much of their menu. Like a scene out of the movie “Jurassic Park,” Japanese scientists are ready to launch a project to clone a woolly mammoth -- an animal that’s been extinct since before the Ice Age. The giant ancestor to the elephant would be born from a fetus grown with tissue samples taken from mammoth remains. The project could take up to six years to complete. Source Link
