As America’s Space Shuttle fleet heads for retirement this year, NASA has announced where the spacecraft will touch down to become tourist attractions. One of the nation’s biggest consumer advocates is telling Congress to take a hard look at that proposed merger of AT&T and T-Mobile. Consumers Union, the publisher of Consumer Reports magazine, says AT&T’s takeover plan would eliminate a lower-cost alternative in T-Mobile and subject more subscribers to AT&T customer service that often ranks lowest among national carriers.
