Two weeks after the launch was postponed for equipment problems, the space shuttle Endeavour is “go” for liftoff on its final mission. Hoping to spare New Orleans from a flood of Katrina proportions, authorities have opened spillways along the Mississippi River sending floodwaters into towns upstream in Louisiana..
