Opening arguments are expected today in Los Angeles in the manslaughter trial of a doctor accused of killing pop superstar Michael Jackson with an overdose of sleeping medication. Jackson’s fans are hoping the media coverage won’t turn into a tabloid trial of the lifestyle of the King of Pop. The cost of filling-up is going down and the price of gas could drop below $3 a gallon in many places soon. That’s good news for the economy, as it makes more disposable income available for consumer spending.
