The price of a postage stamp is going up. The U.S. Postal Service says it will add a penny to the cost of a first-class stamp, raising it to 45 cents beginning in January. When it comes to TV viewing for infants, the nation’s pediatricians say “turn it off.” The American Academy of Pediatrics says watching television programs or DVDs could harm speech development for babies younger than 2. The warning does not include interactive video games. Doctors say instead of TV watching, parents should talk to infants and encourage independent play. Source Link

For the first time, a national poll shows that half of all Americans would favor full legalization of marijuana. The Gallup survey found the biggest support for legalization was among those under the age of 30 and in areas of the West, Midwest and East. Previous polls have shown that 70-percent of Americans believe marijuana should be legal for medical use. Source Link
