Joe Paterno has been fired by Penn State University amid controversy over whether he did enough to alert authorities to allegations of child sexual abuse involving a former assistant. An Ohio State University researcher says his survey of college students shows the average freshman weight gain is less than four pounds, and that’s just a half-pound more than the same-age person who didn't go to college.
