The government’s space agency is  making it official -- 2012 will not bring a doomsday event from the skies. NASA says there is no threatening star close enough to Earth to go supernova and cause such a disaster.  The latest doomsday rumor involves predictions that a rare stellar explosion in December 2012 would wipe out life on Earth. Place all leftovers in the refrigerator within two hours of cooking and use shallow, airtight containers.
