Few American adults are getting enough fruits and vegetables in their diets. The latest national survey found that only 13-percent are eating the recommended two cups of fruit each day and only 8-percent get two cups of vegetables. Research showed that a physically fit young person can lose up to 30-percent of muscle strength in just two weeks of physical inactivity.
