You might be more likely to spend less on kid’s eyeglasses if you send them outside to play. A study found that children who played outdoors were less likely to be nearsighted. Researchers think the exposure to natural light might trigger the release of natural chemicals in the body that can moderate growth of the eyes to help prevent nearsightedness. Source Link
 
Requiring calorie counts on fast food restaurant menus to encourage people to eat less may not be a winning strategy. A study of diners in one major city with a menu law showed only 8-percent of them made healthy choices because of seeing the calories.
