The standard of one dog year equals seven human years in age is probably a myth. Studies of canine genetics found that a one-year-old dog is closer to the human age of 30. Four-year-old Fido is similar to a 52-year-old person and by the time a dog is in their teens, they’re closer in human age to a 70-year-old. Source Link
