Just in time for fireworks season, there’s new help for dogs who panic whenever they hear a loud noise. The drug Sileo is designed to block the brain chemical that fuels anxiety and was effective for three out of four dogs in testing. Researchers found that drivers who were texting were unable to tap into the brain’s ability to automatically compensate for distractions.
